December 2012-First Christmas!

This month marked the end of my first semester of graduate school.  I finally had some time to sit down and play with our little guy without having to worry about homework.  Josh and I had originally planned on going to Southern California for Christmas in order to visit Josh's parents, but some financial issues prevented us from going.  We didn't let it get us down though.  It was our first Christmas by ourselves, so we bought a miniature artificial tree and made homemade ornaments.  Since Luke wasn't into toys yet anyways, we decided to get him some much-needed clothes for Christmas.  Grampa Dahle and Bachan sent him some toys and a cart/highchair cover.  Grampa and Gramma Moerschbacher got him toys. Overall it was a quiet, but nice Christmas.  Josh was pretty busy with freelance work, but he was able to take Christmas off.  We relaxed, skyped with family, and spent some quality time together. Here are some pictures from Christmas, as well as the entire month of December.
A bath at 3:00 am to relieve gas; oh how we love our little guy...

1st Thanksgiving, Blessing Day, and the month of November

Month two was an eventful one.  Lukey was growing like weed (a very cute weed), and he was changing everyday.

First Thanksgiving-Vernal, UT
We spent Luke's first Thanksgiving in Vernal with the Roys (my sister Stephanie and her family).  My parents came from Pennsylvania to spend the holiday with us. Josh's younger brother Taka also came down from Idaho and went to Vernal with us.  We actually drove to Vernal on Thanksgiving day and celebrated the holiday on Friday.  We spent most of the day cooking and baking together.  It was a really nice evening, filled with lots of yummy food.  We spent the night and drove back to Provo Saturday morning.

Blessing-November 25, 2012
For the blessing everyone that was at our Thanksgiving dinner came to Provo.  Josh's other brother Tim, his wife Lydia, and Josh's parents also came into town.  We blessed Luke at our ward building BYU Married Student 41st Ward.  We had a lot of other people there supporting the blessings.  Little Aerilyn was also blessed.  Josh's great Uncle Kent, Josh's Dad, my Dad, Jr., Tim, Taka, Jim Smith, Eric Ferrin, our bishop Jan Anderson, and Josh were in Luke's circle.  Josh blessed him.  He was quiet through the whole thing and calm through the remainder of the sacrament meeting.  It was really great having all of our friends and family there.
